Blizzard
and
Sony
Online
have
revealed
over
the
weekend
that
Ivan,
last
week's
hurricane
to
hit
North
America,
has
caused
temporary
interruption
for
their
respective
MMORPG,
World
Of
WarCraft
and
Star
Wars
Galaxies.
Over
the
weekend
Blizzard
updated
the
official
World
Of
WarCraft
website
informing
its
U.S.
beta
testers
of
what
had
happened:
"the
datacenter
complex
in
Virginia
that
is
being
used
to
host
the
World
of
Warcraft
beta
test
was
hit
and
damaged
by a
tornado.
Because
water
was
leaking
into
the
building
in
which
our
servers
were
located."
The
same
complex
houses
Sony
Online's
Star
Wars
Galaxies
servers
and
people
may
have
experienced
similar
problems.
Blizzard
said
a
team
of
network
engineers
was
already
sent,
and
they
expect
the
problems
to
be
resolved
today
or
tomorrow,
depending
on
when
the
hardware
"dries
out."
